Beyond the moment to moment active transformation of the self and Realization of the Self this Element will aim to continually gain further resources for our Work through such things as a Setian study of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad-Gita,and other texts of Indian philosophy as well as the more modern Western treatments of related materials. The writings of P.D.Ouspensky,G.I.Gurdjieff and Maurice Nicoll may also prove useful.A study of Setian religious documents as well as formulations of thought and questioning pertaining to the relation of Set to the Self will be areas of our focus in line with our practice of Setian Wisdom-Action Yoga.We will look deeply into what we Do, defining not only our Actions, but also defining true reasons and meaning behind that which we Do.
Above all the main focus shall be on practice and moment to moment application of that which we find.Although subtle and detailed analysis of thought shall occur in this Work it is expected that members of this Element will have a realization of the true value of knowing and applying even just one small effective realization rather than engaging in endless speculation and debate. We will look for true personal meaning and understanding so that we will have a basis for useful personal Action rather than a useless but impressive sounding sham.
It is expected that members of the Element who sincerly strive to do this Work will also form thier own personalized approach to the practice of Setian Wisdom-Action Yoga. From this personalized approach, new methods can be explored for overall usefulness and new areas of exploration will be uncovered.
(An example being that something like Whitehead's process philosophy might be understood by more mathematically or scientifically minded Setians and those Setians may wish to share some of what they gain from that study in a practical, understandable, and useful manner with the others involved in this Element .Another example is that something such as the relation of dreams and Karmic influences might be studied and this having findings brought forth for use in the Element by those that would study this area.)
